February 9, 2026: On Monday evening, I enjoyed rakugo performances at a famous yose theater in Osaka, invited by a friend who is very knowledgeable about rakugo. I listened to two stories of about 50 minutes each, and they were so captivating that I completely lost track of time. It was a masterful experience that made me truly appreciate the depth of Japan’s traditional performing arts.

February 8, 2026: On a snowy Sunday, I stopped by a neighborhood Chinese restaurant for lunch after voting in the House of Representatives and Osaka gubernatorial elections.

February 5, 2026: Had breakfast at Starbucks in Hattori Ryokuchi Park.
