Daily Life, Travels and Events in Reiwa

September 22, 2023: I watched "The Odyssey" at 109 Cinemas in Expo City, Osaka. I enjoyed it much more than I had expected, with its spectacular and beautiful visuals and powerful, immersive sound. As it was during Japan’s Silver Week holiday period,  the screening I attended was completely full, with not a single empty seat.  The weather was also beautiful, and Expo City was packed with people and extremely lively. And for lunch, I had KFC!

Sep. 12-13, 2026: I often watch movies with popcorn on weekends, but it had been a while since I watched a Japanese film. I was reminded that Japanese films have a quiet, poignant charm that is quite different from the spectacle and excitement of Hollywood blockbusters.  The scenery in Northern Osaka over the weekend was also beginning to show subtle signs of autumn. https://tedsogo2021.blogspot.com/2026/09/sep-12-13-2026-weekend-movie-and.html?m=1
