July 3, 2026: Got an early start on tomorrow's Independence Day celebrations with beer and takoyaki in Amerikamura, Osaka.  A fun way to kick off the holiday weekend! Amerikamura is the heart of Osaka's youth culture and trendsetting scene, packed with vintage clothing stores and unique boutiques. It's a vibrant, energetic neighborhood where you can experience the excitement of music and street culture both day and night. July 4, 1995:  The attached photos bring back wonderful memories of when my family and I joined a Fourth of July home party at a classmate's house during my time as a student at Kellogg. It remains one of my fondest memories from those days. This Fourth of July, I enjoyed an American-style lunch at Frank Ride and Eat in Minoh, Osaka. The burger was a little smaller than what you'd typically expect in the U.S., but it was absolutely delicious! 🇺🇸🍔🍟

June 30, 2026: Had lunch at Bird Tree, a stylish park café nestled in the lush greenery of northern Osaka during a sunny break in the rainy season. Surrounded by vibrant greenery, I could truly feel that summer was just around the corner. One of the highlights of the lunch here is the assortment of appetizers served in a wooden box.
