July 31, 2024: Visited Kochi to sightsee at Katsurahama Beach, Kochi Castle, and Harimaya Bridge, and to eat “katsuo no tataki“ (seared bonito). I took a round trip from Osaka using a highway bus, completing it within 24 hours. Despite the short duration, I was able to fully enjoy the spontaneous trip. It was too hot and tiring to visit Katsurahama Beach and Kochi Castle, but the highway bus was comfortable and the seared bonito was very tasty. https://tedsogo2021.blogspot.com/2024/07/july-31-2024-visited-kochi-to-sightsee.html?m=1 I found the mascot character of Kochi, "Berobero no Kamisama." "Berobero" means being completely drunk, and "kamisama" means god. This god appears at banquets to protect drinkers. Kochi has long been famous for its numerous banquets and drinkers.

July 23, 2024: On a very hot evening, I watched "Ferrari" in a cool movie theater in Minoh, Osaka. The following words by the founder made a strong impression on me: “Jaguar races only to sell cars. I sell cars only to be racing.”  “When a thing works better, usually it is more beautiful to the eye.” https://tedsogo2021.blogspot.com/2024/07/july-23-2024-watched-movie-ferrari.html?m=1 This movie is a dramatic family story. The founder, Enzo Ferrari, was a man of charisma whose life was marked by both tragedy and glory. His stance and passion for business and automobiles has never wavered, and I believe it is for this reason that Ferrari has become a global brand. July 27, 2024:  It's been extremely hot for several days, so I ate a grilled eel rice box to beat the summer fatigue.

July 20, 2024: Enjoyed dinner with my friends from elementary school, Kattan and O-chan, at a local izakaya in Wakayama.
