April 11, 2026: Twelve Heavenly Generals at Shin Yakushiji and Great Buddha at Todaiji

April 11, 2026: On a sunny Saturday afternoon that felt like early summer, I had lunch in Nara and, for the first time in a while, visited the Twelve Heavenly Generals at Shin Yakushiji. Although photography was not permitted, they were remarkably solemn and awe inspiring. I also visited the Great Buddha at Todaiji.

May 19, 2025: Advance screening of “Mission: Impossible – The Final Reckoning” in Osaka

I saw an advance screening of “Mission: Impossible – The Final Reckoning” in Osaka on May 19, 2025. I was impressed by the physical abilities of the well-trained 62-year-old Tom Cruise. I didn’t feel that the 169 minutes were too long. The lunch mission was a Whopper at Burger King!! When I go to the movie theater, my important mission is not only to watch the movie but also to eat popcorn.
