May 30, 2026: Blue heron enjoying a crayfish for its breakfast in Hattori Ryokuchi Park

May 30, 2026: While taking an early morning walk and having breakfast on a beautiful Saturday morning, I happened to come across a blue heron enjoying a crayfish for its breakfast as well. I couldn't help wondering—aren't they a bit too hard to eat?

Blue herons are known for being extremely cautious, but perhaps because it was completely focused on its breakfast, I was able to get surprisingly close and capture a few photos. I was amazed to see the heron swallow the crayfish whole.

Enjoyed a pasta lunch today at a stylish new café that I happened to discover, which recently opened just a short walk from my home.

May 31, 2026: At the same location as the café I visited yesterday, a comprehensive spa complex has finally been completed. It features a variety of natural hot springs, including indoor and open-air baths, as well as a stone sauna, restaurants, a fitness gym, and relaxation facilities. I visited on Sunday night and enjoyed a wonderfully relaxing time.

June 3, 2026: Another new café is scheduled to open this summer in Hattori Ryokuchi Park.
With growing interest in well-being, more places designed for relaxation and rejuvenation are opening around my home, surrounded by lush greenery. A natural hot spring facility has recently opened, along with several cafés, and this summer ALOHA CAFE Pineapple from Hawaii is also set to open.
